Kalyaneshwari -- A Never-Ending Journey(part 1)

Everytime when a place is glorified by the grand presence of the Divine, the surroundings become more and more dull, nasty and hypocrite. It's a cosmic trick, that has been distracting people for ages, from reaching to the core of a truth. That is why, when we visit any place of great religious importance we find ourselves stuck in some stupid situations around. Most of us step on that Cosmic-trap and become a Cosmic Joke ourselves. The Kalyaneswari Temple of Asansol has no exception to this.

-- "It was a time, when the surroundings of this temple was crystal clear."

-- "You see that stream? It had more turbulence last time we visited."

-- "Kalyaneswari? We went there on a picnic season. It is too crowdy, man!!"

And so on. But there is much more than these general assumptions of the common people regarding this great SiddhapeeTha. This old temple is just like a black-hole -- a darkness, covered with darkness. An ever flowing mystery waiting to be revealed before Her chosen ones. The legend says that the Mother Goddess Herself brings Her chosen ones to the temple and lead them under the Temple, where the Bramha-Shila rests within a great nirvikalpa state. None else can ever reveal the originality of it. The Worshiping Platform of the Garbha-gruha is the covering of the real Shila.

The Kalyaneswari Temple rests in the lap of silence in the middle of complete chaotic atmosphere. The peace, silence and darkness of the temple and the surroundings break in every minute of the day. Disturbed devotees break the peace, their useless chatters break the silence and the halogens and CFLs break the darkness. But at the same time the complete nature collects all the lost pieces back and sings Her praise. They combine the scattered pieces and recreate the silence, recreate the darkness. The broken silence is reformed by the musical symphony of the little stream beside the temple. It is a bit confusing that what exactly guards the temple and what is it that is constantly covering the Bramha-Shila apart from that mask that people actually see in the Garbha-gruha. Is it the silence, or the darkness, or a cosmic mystery that is greater and deeper than the others? No way to find out. The Kalyaneswari Temple calls them, who are obsessed with searching answers. It is none other than a never-ending quest in which the explorer finds himself lost within a dark forest. There he experiences luminous creatures, defines death from a new perspective, finds himself within a dynasty of Red and listens to the music of the silence. Visiting Kalyaneswari is like diving into the Pacific and embracing a dissolution of self to the mystery. Her midday Aratrik is not dependent upon the Abhijit Muhurta of a day. That moment is dependent upon Her Aratrik. The empress of numerous universes meditates there and controls each single movement of the worlds.

I asked Her, who is She? I didn't even recognize Her little idol there. She replied. But I was too disturbed to listen, too small to hear, too weak to understand, too idiot to surrender. When i realized my inability I heard a laugh. It was my friend laughing at a sms in her phone. As soon I overlooked her laugh she laughed again. My master once said to me, "Nature is not indifferent". And I have got my new quest. O the Princess of Himalayas! did YOU laugh at my inability to get you?
